Pakistan’s dominance in the final
In the final match of Under-19 Asia Cup, Pakistan defeated India and won the title. Batting first, Pakistan scored a huge score of 347 runs on the basis of Sameer Minhas’ brilliant inning of 172 runs. This innings of Minhas completely pushed the Indian bowlers on the back foot.
Indian innings disintegrated under pressure
Chasing the target, India got off to a good start with aggressive batting from Vaibhav Suryavanshi, but wickets soon started falling. Under the pressure of the final, the Indian batsmen could not hold on and the entire team was bundled out for 156 runs. In this way Pakistan won by a huge margin of 191 runs.

Mohsin Naqvi had reached Dubai during the match itself and was present in the presentation ceremony along with other officials. However, the Indian players refused to stand with Naqvi on the main stage. Team India received the runners-up medals separately from another official.

Indian players received their medals from ICC Associate Member Director Mubasshir Usmani, who was present near the podium. At the same time, Mohsin Naqvi presented the winning medals to the Pakistani players and handed over the trophy to captain Farhan Yusuf. After this, Naqvi was seen posing for photographs with the Pakistani team and support staff and celebrating the victory.
