Attack on Iran may trigger violence in India Home Ministry issued alert, gave special instructions to states

Home Ministry Alert Violence after Iran Attack: Big information has come out from the Union Home Ministry. The ministry had informed the states on February 28 that there was a possibility of Israel and America attacking Iran. Along with this, it was warned that after this attack, violence can spread in India also.

According to the information, the letter requested the states to identify those “pro-Iran fundamentalist preachers” who can promote violence by giving inflammatory speeches. The ministry has directed security agencies to keep a vigilant eye on the activities of such preachers and take necessary steps to ensure civil safety.

Massive demonstration in Kashmir

Large-scale demonstrations took place in Kashmir on March 2 to protest the assassination of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Protestors chanted slogans against America and Israel and mourned by beating their chests. To keep the situation under control in Kashmir, authorities slowed down mobile internet speed. This step was taken as a precautionary measure to maintain law and order. There are about 15 lakh Shia Muslims living in Kashmir, who were active in these demonstrations.

The Union Home Ministry also informed the states that there is a possibility of violence spreading in India following a joint military strike against Iran. The ministry warned that a close watch should be kept on such preachers and movements that can create instability in India. In its letter, the ministry specifically mentioned pro-Iranian fundamentalist preachers who can promote violence by giving inflammatory speeches.

Demonstrations in many cities of UP including Lucknow

Demonstrations also took place in different parts of Uttar Pradesh. In the capital Lucknow, people from the Shia community gathered at the Imambara, raising slogans against America and Israel. He condemned the actions of the US and Israel, calling Khamenei’s martyrdom a great loss. Apart from this, demonstrations were also held in Jaunpur, Aligarh, and Muzaffarnagar. Thousands of Shia Muslims in Muzaffarnagar took out a procession to protest against Khamenei’s assassination and sent a memorandum to the President of India.
