India vs New Zealand: New Zealand won the test in India after 36 years, took lead

New Delhi:The first match of the 3-match Test series between India and New Zealand was played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. New Zealand won this match by 8 wickets. New Zealand had a target of 107 runs to win, which it achieved before lunch on the fifth day of the game (20 October). With this victory, New Zealand has taken a 1-0 lead in the series. The second test match between the two countries will be played in Pune from 24th October.

If seen, New Zealand achieved Test victory on Indian soil after 36 years. Before this, it defeated India by 136 runs in the match played at Wankhede Stadium in November 1988. Overall, this was New Zealand's third Test win on Indian soil. New Zealand got its first Test win in India in 1969 in Nagpur. Then it defeated the host team by 167 runs.

In this match, the Indian team scored only 46 runs in its first innings. In response, New Zealand scored 402 runs. In this way, the New Zealand team got a huge lead of 356 runs on the basis of first innings. Then the Indian team scored 462 runs in its second innings and set a target of 107 runs for the Kiwis. The New Zealand team has so far not been able to win any bilateral Test series on Indian soil. This time the 13th Test series is being played between the two teams.
