India vs Pakistan Match Result, T20 World Cup 2026: The match played between India and Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2026 proved to be one-sided. In this match, the Indian team performed brilliantly and defeated Pakistan by 61 runs. Batting first, India scored 175 runs losing 7 wickets in 20 overs, which is also India’s highest score against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. Chasing the target, Pakistan team was reduced to 114 runs in 18 overs. With this win, India qualified for the Super-8 stage and maintained its dominance in the tournament.

Ishan Kishan’s innings changed the course of the match

The Indian team, who came to bat first, did not have a good start and opener Abhishek Sharma was out without opening the account. After this Ishan Kishan and Tilak Verma took over the innings. There was an important partnership of 87 runs between the two for the second wicket. Ishan Kishan batted aggressively and scored 77 runs in 40 balls and put the team in a strong position.

After the dismissal of Ishan Kishan, the run rate slowed down for some time, but Suryakumar Yadav contributed 32 runs. Tilak Verma scored 25 runs, while Shivam Dubey played a useful inning of 27 runs. For Pakistan, Sam Ayub took maximum three wickets, but he could not stop the team from scoring big.

Pakistan’s batting remained weak

Pakistan had a very bad start while chasing the target of 176 runs. Sahibzada Farhan was out without opening the account. After this, Sam Ayub was out after scoring 6 runs, Salman Agha after scoring 4 runs and Babar Azam after scoring 5 runs. Due to initial setbacks, Pakistan team came under pressure. Usman Khan definitely put up some fight in the middle order by scoring 44 runs in 34 balls. Along with him, Shadab Khan scored 14 runs and there was a partnership of 39 runs between them, but could not take the team closer to victory. Only four batsmen of Pakistan could cross the double figures.

Bowlers gave India a big win

Indian bowlers also performed brilliantly. Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakraborty and Axar Patel completely stopped Pakistan’s batting by taking two wickets each. Due to wickets falling at regular intervals, Pakistan team was never seen moving towards the target.
