The Indian team, under the leadership of captain Ayush Mhatre, defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in the semi-finals. Due to heavy rain in Dubai, the match was reduced to 20 overs. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 138 runs. India got the target of 139 runs. However, India’s start was not good. Captain Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi were out early.

The team’s score had fallen by two wickets for just 25 runs. But after this Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra batted amazingly. Both of them made an unbroken partnership for the third wicket and easily led the team to victory.

In the second semi-final, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets. This match was also reduced to 27 overs due to rain. Bangladesh, playing first, scored 121 runs and the entire team was out. Pakistan achieved the target by losing two wickets in just 16.3 overs. Pakistani batsmen and bowlers played brilliantly together.

India had also defeated Pakistan in the group stage of the tournament. Now both the teams will face each other again in the final. This match to be held on 21st December will be played at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai.
