Attention Heavy rain in next 24 hours, orange alert for storm in 13 states, winds will blow at a speed of 85km
Today’s weather: While the scorching heat was troubling people till a few days ago in March, now the weather has suddenly taken a turn. The mood of the sky has completely changed in many parts of the country. Instead of bright sunshine, there are dark clouds and winds blowing at a speed of 70 to 85 km/hour are indicating storm-like conditions. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert of thunderstorm, rain and hailstorm in 13 states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi for March 22.
Reason for change in weather
According to meteorologists, this change is the result of the collision of a strong western disturbance and moisture coming from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal. When cold winds from mountainous regions meet sea moisture and plain heat, unstable weather systems are formed. For this reason, thunderstorms and hailstorms are being seen in North, Central and Eastern India.
Condition of Delhi-NCR
There is a possibility of moderate rain in Delhi and surrounding Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram. Waterlogging and traffic jams may occur in areas like India Gate, Laxmi Nagar and Lajpat Nagar. Although this will reduce pollution and drop in temperature, strong winds of 40 km/hour can cause harm.
Danger in UP-Bihar
Strong gale (about 60 km/hr) may occur in Gorakhpur, Deoria, Ballia and Azamgarh of Uttar Pradesh. There is a danger of lightning from Patna to Bhagalpur in Bihar. The administration has advised people to avoid standing in open spaces and under trees.
