IMD Rain Alert: The weather patterns in India are changing rapidly. On one hand, the heat has knocked in the plains of North India, while on the other hand, the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a major alert of rain and storm for 11 states of the country, which may increase the problems of the people.

According to the latest forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of worsening weather in 11 states of the country. These states mainly include the eastern part of Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh and Odisha. Apart from this, rain warning has also been issued in southern and north-eastern states like Telangana, Assam, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman Nicobar Islands. Experts believe that ‘the passing winter’ In this era, this situation is being created due to the changes taking place in the atmosphere from the mountains to the plains.

Delhi-NCR: Mercury reached near 30 degrees

The effect of heat is already clearly visible in the country’s capital Delhi and surrounding areas (NCR). The maximum temperature in Delhi is being recorded around 30 degrees Celsius, which is about 4.2 degrees more than normal. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light fog and mist in Delhi this morning, but as the day progresses, the sun will start scorching. As per previous records, the minimum temperature also remained between 12 to 14 degrees, which is slightly above normal.

Weather condition in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan

There is currently no warning of rain in Uttar Pradesh, but a huge increase in temperature is being recorded in many districts of the state. There is a possibility of strong sunshine during the day in major cities like Lucknow, Ayodhya, Prayagraj and Kanpur. There may be partly cloudy sky in the south-eastern parts of Rajasthan, but the temperature is expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in the next 48 hours. The minimum temperature in Jaipur is currently around 15.4 degrees Celsius.

South and East India: Alert of sea winds

Talking about South India, there is a possibility of light rain in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry between 23 to 25 February. The Meteorological Department has warned that winds can blow at a speed of 60 km per hour in the Bay of Bengal, due to which there may be a risk of waterlogging in coastal areas. At the same time, light to moderate rain is expected in the southern districts of West Bengal like Kolkata, Howrah and Hooghly till Wednesday. There may also be drizzle in the sub-Himalayan districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
