India will create rocket force, Pakistan shocked, China stunned!
New Delhi. India is going to take a big step towards adapting its military power to the new era of war. Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi has indicated that the country now needs a specialized rocket missile force. This proposal has come at a time when the regional security scenario is changing rapidly and neighboring country China has already developed such military units.
There is a need for modern war
In a press conference organized before Army Day, General Dwivedi made it clear that future wars will not be fought in a conventional manner. Drones, missiles, rockets and air defense systems have become the backbone of modern warfare. In such a situation, it has become necessary to operate all these capabilities under unified command instead of keeping them separate. This need has given rise to the concept of Rocket Missile Force.
What is Rocket Missile Force?
The Rocket Missile Force is a specialized military structure in which long-range rocket and missile systems operate under a single command. Its objective is to ensure swift, accurate and effective response. According to the Army Chief, in today’s time the traditional boundary between rockets and missiles has ended, hence it is very important to deploy them under a joint strategy.
Reference to China and Pakistan
The Army Chief also made it clear that India will have to take this step keeping in mind the military preparedness of neighboring countries. China’s People’s Liberation Army Rocket Force (PLARF) is considered the most powerful part of its military, whose capability has continuously increased since 2016. Pakistan is also developing it. In such a situation, it has become necessary for India to maintain strategic balance.
