‘India will give tariffs and we will not…’ Trump reacts on India-US trade
US President Trump on US-India trade deal : Modi government is on target of opposition in India regarding US-India trade deal. All opposition parties including Congress and Samajwadi Party have expressed fear of huge loss to Indian farmers due to this trade deal. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has reacted to the trade deal with India. He has clearly said that India will give tariff and America will not.

Questions about the US-India trade deal Trump said in a press conference, “Nothing will change. They will give tariffs and we won’t… PM Modi is a great man. In the case of the US, he was smarter than the people he was against… They were robbing us. So we made a deal with India… We are not giving them tariffs and they are giving them. We did a little flip.” After the SC’s decision to abolish the tariffs imposed on other countries, Trump says that today he will sign an order to impose 10 percent global tariff in addition to the normal tariff already being imposed under Section 122.

The US President said, “To protect our country, a President can actually impose more tariffs than I have imposed over the last year under different tariff authorities. So we can use other laws, other tariff authorities, which have also been confirmed and are fully permitted. So, effective immediately, all national security tariffs under Section 232 and existing Section 301 The tariffs, they are there, they are there, will remain in full force, and will remain in full force.”
Trump further said, “Today, I will sign an order imposing a 10% global tariff in addition to our normal tariffs already imposed under Section 122. And we are also initiating a number of Section 301 and other investigations to protect our country from the unfair trading practices of other countries and companies.”
