Sarfaraz Khan made a massive 150, along with Rishabh Pant scoring 99 runs helped India to make a comeback in their match on Day 4, and made a score of 462 on the board in their second innings. However, all this might to in vain as even this massive total just meant a 107-run target for the visitors.
The Kiwis will look to complete this target on Day 5 of the match, considering that rain does not cause any hindrance in the match. The lowest target successfully defended by India in the history of Test cricket was 107 in 2004 against Australia. Now the Indian team will have to recreate this display if they want to win this test.
Second innings for India was in two halves, where the first inning was a disastrous one as they were bowled out at a mere score of 46 runs. The team managed to make a remarkable comeback which was mainly due to Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant. Their aggressive batting, where they scored at a constant run rate of 5.03 runs per over, helped India make a comeback and put them in a better position.
