India shines in Super Four of U19 Women Asia Cup, defeats Bangladesh by 8 wickets

Sports Desk: India has shown a very strong performance so far in the Women's Under-19 Asia Cup 2024. Team India has further strengthened its position by defeating Bangladesh by 8 wickets in the Super Four match. Ayushi Shukla and Gongadi Trisha played important roles in this spectacular victory of India.

Actually, Trisha scored a strong half-century against Bangladesh, for which she was chosen Player of the Match. Ayushi troubled the Bangladesh batsmen a lot by bowling brilliantly. In the match, Bangladesh batted first and scored 80 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. Captain Soumya Akhtar was out after scoring just 1 run.

Whereas Sadia Akhtar returned to the pavilion after scoring 2 runs. Aafia was out on zero. During this, Ayushi Shukla bowled fatally for India. He took 3 wickets for 9 runs in 4 overs. Sonam Yadav took 2 wickets. Shabnam and Mithila Vinod took 1-1 wicket.

While chasing the target given by Bangladesh, the Indian team won the match in just 12.1 overs. Opener Trisha scored a half-century for Team India. He scored unbeaten 58 runs facing 46 balls.
