Indian women’s team in trouble in day-night test against Australia, danger of innings defeat
Delhi: The Indian women’s team has reached a difficult situation in the only day-night Test being played against Australia. After being all out for 198 runs in the first innings, Indian batting was seen struggling in the second innings also. Australia had taken a strong lead by scoring 323 runs in its first innings. In the second innings, India lost six wickets after reaching 105 runs and still needed 20 runs to avoid the defeat of the innings. Pratika Raval is standing at the crease after scoring 43 runs and the team’s hopes now rest on her.
In Australia’s innings, Annabel Sutherland scored a brilliant century and played an excellent inning of 129 runs. Whereas 19 year old fast bowler Lucy Hamilton gave a blow to India’s second innings and took three important wickets.
Australia increased the score with a strong partnership
On the second day, Australia started playing at 93 runs for three wickets. Ellyse Perry and Annabel Sutherland together made an important partnership of 128 runs for the fourth wicket, which put the team in a strong position. Parry became the victim of Deepti Sharma after scoring 76 runs and India got the fourth success.
Beth Mooney got a lease of life twice, but she could not take much advantage of it and was out after scoring 19 runs. Ashley Gardner was bowled by Kranti God and sent to the pavilion.
Sutherland’s brilliant century
Annabel Sutherland, standing at one end, batted with restraint and completed her century. Facing 171 balls, he scored 129 runs with the help of 17 fours. Ultimately she was out on the ball of Deepti Sharma. In the lower order, Tahlia McGrath contributed 13 runs, Alana King 21 and Lucy Hamilton added 23 runs to take the team’s score to 323.

Indian batting faltered in the second innings also
Under the pressure of Australia’s big score, the start of the second innings of the Indian team was also bad. Smriti Mandhana was out early after scoring two runs and Shefali Verma was out after scoring five runs.
