IND W Vs ENG W Lords Test Match Report: The Indian women’s cricket team performed brilliantly at the historic ground of Lord’s and defeated England by 270 runs in the first women’s Test match. With this victory, the Indian team became the first team to win the Women’s Test at Lord’s. This victory is considered to be one of the most memorable successes in the history of Indian women’s cricket.

India scored 285 runs in the first innings

In the match, England won the toss and chose to bowl first. Smriti Mandhana played a brilliant inning of 83 runs for India. Apart from them, Deepti Sharma (57), Harmanpreet Kaur (58) and Jemimah Rodrigues (35) also batted brilliantly. India scored 285 runs in the first innings. For England, Sophie Ecclestone took maximum 3 wickets, while Lauren Filler, Izzy Wong and Mady Villiers got two wickets each.

India declared the innings at 341 runs for 7 wickets and set a huge target of 457 runs for England. Sophie Ecclestone was the most successful bowler for England in the second innings also. He took 5 wickets.

India finished the match on the fourth day

Chasing the target of 457 runs, the England team remained under constant pressure. On the last day, Sneh Rana gave a big success to India by taking the wicket of Amy Jones (54). After this, Deepti Sharma took two consecutive wickets, while Kranti Gaur and Sayali Satghare also took two wickets each. Sophie Ecclestone definitely scored a half-century, but she could not save the team from defeat. The entire England team was bundled out for 186 runs and India registered a historic win by 270 runs.
