India captured the Asian Champions Trophy, won the title for the 5th time by defeating China

In this tournament being played in Hulunbur, China, Team India defeated the host team in the final held on Tuesday 17 September.

Asian Champions Trophy: Indian hockey team has once again won the title of Asian Champions Trophy. Team India won the title for the second consecutive and fifth time by defeating China 1-0 in the final. Jugraj Singh scored the only goal of the final for Team India. The Chinese team could not score a goal even after four quarters.

In this tournament being played in Hulunbur, China, Team India defeated the host team in the final held on Tuesday 17 September. Thus, India won the title of the tournament by defeating China in the first and last match of the tournament. Pakistan won the bronze medal by defeating South Korea.

After defeating China 3-0 in the first match of the tournament, the Indian team captained by Harmanpreet Singh captured the title by winning 7 consecutive matches including the final. Team India neither lost a single match nor drew any match.

However, in the final held on Tuesday evening, Team India had to work hard to win. In the first quarter, the Indian players created many chances but the Chinese defenders and goalkeepers played brilliantly and did not allow them to be converted into goals. In the 8th minute, Abhishek Singh shot directly on goal. Here the goalkeeper of China Le made a brilliant save.

The score remained 0-0 in the second and third quarters, India and China could not score a single goal in the second and third quarters. In the second quarter, the Chinese team gave a tough competition to India. The Indian team got very few chances in this quarter, but it could not convert them into goals. The Chinese defenders have faced the Indian attack bravely. After this the third quarter also remained goalless. In this quarter, the Chinese team played aggressively and created some chances but the Indian defenders thwarted their efforts.

Jugraj's goal in the fourth quarter-

In the final, the Indian hockey team took a 1-0 lead over China by scoring the first goal in the fourth quarter. Jugraj Singh scored this goal for India in the 7th minute of the fourth quarter. Here captain Harmanpreet gave a pass to Abhishek, after which Jugraj counterattacked and scored the goal. In the 56th minute of the match, China equalized India's lead by removing its goalkeeper. But China failed to score.
