Indian Army fired on Pakistani drone near LOC in Nowshera, Jammu and Kashmir, search operation continues.
Nowshera:The Indian Army fired on a Pakistani drone on Wednesday evening near the Line of Control in Nowshera sector of Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, during this time many other drones were also seen in the area, due to which the vigilance of the security agencies has increased further. The army immediately retaliated by targeting the drone and surveillance was intensified in the entire area.
Scenes reminiscent of Operation Sindoor
Let us tell you that a video of the incident has also surfaced, in which tracer rounds are seen illuminating the sky in the darkness of the night. The scenes are said to be similar to the military action seen during ‘Operation Sindoor’ last year, when the Indian Army shot down several Pakistani drones.
Fear of weapons and drugs, search operation continues
The army fears that weapons or narcotics may have been dropped through these drones. For this reason, a massive search operation is being conducted in Nowshera sector. A day before this, a drone from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir had dropped a consignment of weapons in Samba sector, which has further increased the concern about the danger of smuggling across the border.
Drone was targeted with machine guns
According to the army, machine guns were used to shoot down the drone. After Operation Sindoor, the incidents of drone infiltration had reduced, but in the latest development, at least five Pakistani drones have entered the Indian border in a single day.
Accusation of supporting terrorism through drones
Security agencies say that Pakistan is using drones to deliver weapons and drugs to India as well as to help state sponsored terrorist organizations. The Indian Army and security forces are keeping a close watch on these activities and border security is being further strengthened.
