Team India’s opening batter Abhishek Sharma has been hospitalised due to a stomach infection. Sanju Samson is likely to open with Ishan Kishan in tomorrow’s match against Namibia in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Abhishek was unwell in the campaign opener against the USA but the team management included him in the Playing XI at the Wankhede Stadium on February 7.
He was dismissed for a duck and didn’t take the field during the run chase. Abhishek also missed the practice session on Tuesday.
