Indian coach raised demand to change the timing of ODI matches, revealed the big reason

IND vs SA 3rd ODI: Dew has played a big role so far in the ODI series being played between India and South Africa. After Ranchi, heavy dew was also seen in Raipur, due to which the Proteas team happily achieved the target of 359 runs. Indian bowlers looked completely ineffective due to dew. This is the reason why Indian team’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate has raised the demand to change the timing of ODI matches in India. Doschet says that if the match is started 2 hours earlier, then the match will be equal.

Coach raised demand to change timing

Speaking at a press conference a day before the third ODI against South Africa, Ryan ten Doeschate said, “Dew starts falling as soon as the second innings starts. In such a situation, if the match is played at a different time, then perhaps the effect of dew can be reduced to some extent. If you start the match two hours earlier, then it can be a solution.”

What is the harm caused by dew?

Actually, due to dew the ball becomes very wet. Because of this, bowlers have to face difficulties in getting grip on the ball. The ball slips a lot from the hand. Apart from this, due to being wet, the ball comes on the bat very well and fast, due to which it becomes very easy to score runs.

How is Team India’s record in Vizag?

The third ODI match between India and South Africa is to be played at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. This ground has been very lucky for Team India. Out of the 10 matches played here so far, the Indian team has won 7, while the team has had to face defeat in only 2 matches.

However, the toss can play a very important role in Vizag. The record of the team chasing runs on this ground has been amazing. 15 out of 20 matches have been won by the team which has decided to bowl first. Now if one has to bowl first in the third ODI, then captain KL Rahul will have to win the toss.
