Indian cricketer Yashasvi Jaiswal will now play cricket for Mumbai Cricket Association Gujarati
Indian cricket team’s young opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal had sought NOC from the Mumbai Cricket Association earlier this year. He wanted to play for Goa team. But after some time he took a U-turn and wanted to continue playing domestic cricket for Mumbai. He then requested Mumbai Cricket Association to withdraw the NOC. Now MCA has given its decision. Yashasvi Jaiswal has taken a big decision regarding his future in domestic cricket. Jaiswal, who was planning to play for Goa in April, changed his opinion in May and has requested MCA to withdraw the NOC. Which has been accepted by MCA. That means, he will now be seen representing Mumbai in the 2025-26 domestic season.
There was a possibility of Jaiswal getting the responsibility of captaincy in Goa. Family reasons were said to be the reason behind his move. However, in May, Jaiswale wrote an email to MCA saying that he would play only for Mumbai. MCA had said in a statement, ‘The Apex Council has given permission to withdraw the No Objection Certificate (NOC), which Yashasvi Jaiswal had earlier sought to represent another state. It will be available for Mumbai. At the same time, association president Ajinkya Naik said, ‘Yashaswi has always been a proud player of Mumbai cricket. We have accepted the NOC application for his return and he will be available for Mumbai in the next local season.
Yashasvi Jaiswale has played 10 Ranji Trophy matches for Mumbai, in which he has scored 863 runs at an average of 53.93. During this period, he has also scored four centuries. In List A cricket, he has scored 1296 runs in 25 innings at an average of 58, with five centuries to his name. At the same time, in T20, he has scored 648 runs in 26 innings for Mumbai.
