NEW DELHI, Feb 28: India on Saturday issued an advisory for its citizens in Israel and Iran to “exercise utmost caution and remain vigilant at all times” and to avoid unnecessary movements and remain indoors after the two countries along with US got into conflict and launched missiles against each other.
In its advisory, India said, “In view of the prevailing security situation in the region, all Indian nationals in Israel are advised to exercise utmost caution and remain vigilant at all times.” “Indian nationals are strongly advised to strictly adhere to the safety guidelines and instructions issued by the Israeli authorities and the Home Front Command,” the post on
“All Indian nationals should remain in close proximity to designated shelters and familiarize themselves with the nearest protected spaces in their area of residence or work,” it said. “Indian nationals are advised to avoid all non-essential and unnecessary travel within Israel until further notice. Citizens are encouraged to monitor local news, official announcements, and emergency alerts regularly,” it added.

In Iran, in its advisory, the Indian embassy in Iran urged Indian nationals in that country to avoid unnecessary movements and remain indoors. “In view of the developing situation, all Indian nationals in Iran are advised to exercise utmost caution, avoid unnecessary movements and remain indoors as far as possible,” it said.
“Indians may also continue to monitor the news, maintain situational awareness and await any further guidance from the Embassy of India, the mission said and listed the emergency contact details of the embassy. The Indian Embassy in Jordan said in its advisory, “In view of the prevailing regional situation, all Indian nationals and tourists in Jordan are advised to exercise utmost caution, stay safe and follow advisories issued by local authorities diligently.” The advisory, posted on the Embassy’s social media channels, further advised all Indian tourists in Jordan to leave the country “immediately before operations of commercial flights get disrupted.”
The Embassy of India in Bahrain also advised all Indian nationals in Bahrain to take due care, and “follow news and advisories as and when issued by the Embassy & local authorities.” The Embassy said it is continuing to function “as usual” and also shared a 24×7 helpline number in view of the current regional situation.
The Representative Office of India to the State of Palestine at Ramallah advised all Indian nationals in Palestine “to remain vigilant” and observe locally advised safety and emergency procedures. “Please exercise caution and avoid unnecessary movement,” it said in a post on X.
