Indian Embassy in Dubai issued advisory, advised citizens not to undertake non-essential travel

Dubai, March 3. The Indian Embassy in Dubai has issued an advisory for its citizens living there and advised them to avoid non-essential travel. The Indian Embassy wrote on social media platform X, ‘In view of the current situation in the region, all Indian citizens in the UAE are advised to avoid non-essential travel. Take full care, remain alert and follow the safety guidelines and advisories issued by UAE authorities and Embassy.

The embassy message said, ‘The Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General in Dubai are functioning normally and will issue updates as needed. For any emergency queries, Indian nationals in UAE can contact toll free number: 800-46342 and WhatsApp +971543090571.

American Embassy also issued advisory after the attack on American Embassy in Riyadh

Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Riyadh caught fire and suffered damage after two Iranian drone attacks. The US Embassy then issued an advisory. Following the attack, the US Embassy issued a shelter-in-place advisory for Riyadh, Jeddah and Dhahran. It also announced a ban on non-essential travel to military bases in the region and appealed to US citizens living in Saudi Arabia to immediately seek shelter.

The statement said, ‘The US Mission in Saudi Arabia is monitoring the situation in the area. We ask all travelers to check our latest safety alerts. In case of any disruption, review your travel plans and take the right decisions to keep yourself and your family safe.

It further said, ‘We advise all American citizens to maintain a personal safety plan. While traveling or living abroad, unexpected difficulties may arise and a good plan helps you think about possible situations and decide the best course of action in advance.
