Indian food danko: India ranked 13th in the world’s best cuisine list Gujarati
New Delhi: As diverse as India is in its politics, culture and languages, the same variations are seen in its tastes too. Every place has its own traditional and unique dishes that give a special identity to Indian food culture in the world. Now a new list of the best food of 100 countries of the world has been announced by the food platform ‘Taste Atlas’, in which India has maintained its position in the top-20. The interesting thing is that Pakistan has lagged far behind in this list.
Indian food, which has a rich heritage of history, culture and taste, has been ranked 13th in this global list with a rating of 4.43. Indian food is a favorite among tourists all over the world, from its street food to traditional dishes. Earlier, in the world’s top-20 best chicken dishes list, India’s butter chicken dish was ranked 5th with a rating of 4.5 stars. Italian food ranks first in this list. Whereas Greek is in second place, Peruvian is in third place, Portuguese is in fourth place and Spanish is in fifth place.
The name of neighboring country Pakistan is also included in this list of food of 100 top countries of the world, but the cuisine here has not found a place even in the top-50. Pakistan’s name is at number 73 in this list and it has got only 4.04 rating. ‘Taste Atlas’ has also shared the award winning World’s 100 Best Dishes list for 2025 and 2026. Indian dishes have once again received respect in this list. In which Punjabi dish Amritsari Kulcha is ranked 17th with 4.44 rating. Hyderabadi Biryani is included in this list.
