Indian football team climbed one place to 125th in FIFA rankings

Mumbai Mumbai. The Indian men's football team has moved up one place to 125th in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday. This was possible thanks to a 1-1 draw in an international friendly against Vietnam earlier this month. India has not won any match yet under the leadership of new coach Manolo Marquez. Under Marquez, the team has lost once and drawn twice, giving it +0.26 points, taking its total points to 1133.78.

India has also moved up one place to 22nd in the AFC standings, while Vietnam has slipped three places. Overall, world champions Argentina maintain their dominance at No. 1 with 1883.5 points, while France, European champions Spain and England and Brazil complete the top five.
