Indian football team will participate in Mandiri Under-20 Challenge Series in Indonesia
India's Under-20 men's football team will participate in the Mandiri Under-20 Challenge Series 2025, a four-nation friendly tournament to be held in Indonesia from January 24 to 30. Syria, Jordan and host Indonesia are the other teams in this.
Bibi Thomas coach appointed
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has appointed Bibby Thomas as the coach while Myleswamy Govindaraju Ramachandran will be his assistant coach. Dipankar Chaudhary will be the goalkeeper coach. Thomas also selected a 23-member squad of 17 and 18-year-old players (born in 2007 and 2008) who are preparing for the SAFF U-19 Championship to be held from 8 to 18 May.
India will open the four-nation tournament against Syria (January 24), followed by matches against Jordan (January 27) and Indonesia (January 30). These matches will be played at the Gelora Delta Stadium in Sidoarjo.
The Indian Under-20 team is as follows:
Goalkeeper: Suraj Singh Ahibam, Alsabith Suleman Thekkekarmel, Karan Makkar.
Defender: Yaifaremba Chingkham, Sumit Sharma Brahmacharimayam, Afinmon Byju, Mukul Panwar, Malemangamba Singh Thokchom, Jodrick Branches.
Midfielder: Mohammad Arbash, Mahmad Sami, Lewis Jangminlun, Manbhakupar Malangiang, Ahongshangbam Samson, N Rishi Singh, Jajo Prashan, N Mate, Gurnaz Singh Grewal, Danny Meitei Laishram.
Forward: Bharat Laranjam, Lamet Tangwah, Sujin S, Mohammad Zulkif.
