Indian heritage drinks are popular in Britain, premium drinks of Mahua-Feni will shine in foreign market

London. Traditional tribal drinks Mahua and Goan Feni are being launched in the UK market for the first time from this week as part of a new range of Indian heritage drinks. Maharaja Drinks, a retail company focused on introducing Indian beverages to the UK, has launched three variants of Feni and one Mahua beverage in the market. This specialty retail company focuses on organic certification, sustainable production practices, and eco-friendly manufacturing, packaging and transportation.

The company’s chief executive officer Annable Jamieson said, “India has an extraordinary diversity of heritage beverages, rooted in centuries-old craftsmanship and traditions. Today, consumers and bartenders alike are increasingly interested in these authentic local flavors. So now is the right time to introduce them to the UK for the first time।”

The company’s new range includes Goenchi Feni’s cashew feni and coconut feni, Goa Heritage Distillery’s spicy feni Oro de Goa, and Desmondji’s Mahua drink from Andhra Pradesh. Jamieson said feni is still a rare and niche drink here, while mahua is a new and interesting drink that is just starting to make its mark.
