Junior Hockey World Cup 2025: The Indian team had a chance to win the bronze medal after facing defeat against Germany in the semi-final match of the Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 being played in Tamil Nadu. After this, the Indian team faced Argentina in the bronze medal match played on 10 December. In this match, the Indian hockey team defeated Argentina 4-2 and won the bronze medal.

The Indian hockey team was under a lot of pressure in the bronze medal match against Argentina. Team India was trailing in the first 3 quarters, but then in the last quarter, the Indian team made a brilliant comeback and completely turned the game around in the remaining 15 minutes of the match. Ankit Pal was the first to convert the penalty corner into a goal for Team India. After this, India immediately got another penalty corner. This time Manmeet Singh scored a goal and leveled the match at 2-2.

India has won the Junior Hockey World Cup title twice so far, but this is Team India’s first bronze medal in the history of this tournament.
