US Helicopter Crash: The joy of a wedding in America turned into mourning when an Indian-origin groom, who was going on honeymoon, died in a helicopter crash, while the bride remained trapped in the debris for several hours. This accident happened in the US state of Georgia, the young man who lost his life was a pilot himself. After the wedding reception, the couple boarded a Robinson R66 helicopter. The helicopter was headed to DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, which is the second busiest airport in Georgia.

The happiness of Indian origin Dave (26 years)’s marriage was eclipsed when he was going on honeymoon with his wife to Fiji soon after the wedding. Dave was a pilot with Fiji’s Delta Air Lines and his family is originally from Kerala. According to reports, the Robinson R66 helicopter in which they were traveling crashed near their wedding venue in Dawsonville. Dave Fiji’s wife Jessie, who is a nurse by profession, survived the accident. According to reports, he is being treated at a hospital in Atlanta and his condition is improving.

“My son was very happy,” Dave’s father, George Fiji, told Atlanta News First. According to him, Dave married Jessie on Friday. The two met about 10 years ago at the New Testament Church. About 400 guests attended the wedding, which took place at The Rivière in Dawsonville.

George Fiji said that after the accident it took a long time for the authorities to locate the helicopter. Meanwhile, the bride Jesni, who suffered injuries and cuts, remained trapped in the debris of the helicopter for about six hours. Later the rescue team found them.
