IPL 2025 Mega Auction Update: Mega auction fair ended, 10 teams spent 639.15 crores, Pant and Iyer created history
IPL Auction 2025 Updates : The ongoing IPL mega auction in Jeddah, Dubai has ended. 10 teams spent Rs 639.15 crore in this two-day long fair. 10 teams bid on a total of 182 players in the auction. During this period 68 foreign players were sold. Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings prepared squads of 25 players.
Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer dominated this auction. Rishabh Pant was included by Lucknow team for 27 crores. Whereas Shreyas Iyer was included for Rs 26.75 crores. Both were the most expensive players in IPL history. Apart from this, Venkatesh Iyer was included by Kolkata by paying 23.75 crores.
In two days, all the teams bid on their favorite players and were successful in getting them. However, many big names were not sold during this period. David Warner did not find any buyer. 13 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi also created history. He has become the youngest player to be sold in IPL. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for Rs 1 crore 10 lakh.
