Ticket booking system of Indian Railways will change from March 1, tickets will be booked not through IRCTC but through this app.

Indian Railways New Rules: Rail is an easy and convenient means for long distance travel. Lakhs and crores of people travel by train every day. Before traveling by train, a ticket is required, which passengers book through IRCTC. At the same time, from March 1, 2026, Railways is going to make a big change in the ticket booking system, under which now general and platform tickets will be booked through other apps instead of IRCTC app. Holi festival is near and if you are unaware of this change in Railways, then you may face problem in reaching home. Therefore, it is important for you to know which app you will be able to use for general and platform tickets from March 1.

Now ticket booking will be done through this app

There is going to be a big change in the rules of Indian Railways. From March 1, the old UTS app will be closed and the new RailOne app will work in its place. It is not just a simple ticket app, but it has been made an ‘all-in-one’ platform. Now you will not need separate apps to check general ticket, platform ticket, reservation and train status. All the facilities related to your travel will be available at one place, which will make ticket booking easy and will also save your time.

How much discount will be available on digital payment?

• Now you are getting a chance to save by booking general tickets through Railways’ RailOne app.
• If you book general tickets through this app and make digital payment, you will get a discount of up to 3 percent.
• This facility will remain operational till 14 July 2026.
• You can pay through any of UPI, debit or credit cards, net banking and R-Wallet.
• If you already have money in R-Wallet, you will be able to use them in this new app as well.
• The aim of Railways is that people should book tickets as much as possible digitally instead of cash.

How will RailOne app work?

• It is very easy to book tickets through RailOne app.
• You can create a new account on the app or link your old IRCTC account to it.
• Go to ‘Search Train’ on the home screen and type the name of the station from where you want to go and where you want to go.
• If you want, you can also search for the train by directly entering its name or number.
• A list of trains will appear in front of you, choose the class as per your convenience.
• After filling the passenger information, make payment through UPI, card or net banking.
• As soon as the money is deducted, your ticket will appear in the app, which you can download or even share with someone.
