If you use IRCTC or any other app to book train tickets, then this news is for you. From March 1, Indian Railways is going to make major changes in the app and methods of booking tickets.

Now from March 1, there is going to be a big change in the train ticket booking system. If you are still using the old app to book general ticket or platform ticket from mobile, then this news is for you. Indian Railways is going to make the ticketing process smarter. It is noteworthy that lakhs of passengers use digital platforms to book general tickets every day. Now all these passengers will be freed from the hassle of different apps by the Railways and will be provided all the facilities on a single platform.

UTS will be closed from March 1

Now the old UTS app is going to be closed in the country from March 1 and priority will be given to Railone app in its place. The thing to note is that this app has been designed not only for booking general and platform tickets but as an all in one railway platform. In this app you will get facilities like general ticket, reservation and train status. But the question is why has Railways decided to close UTS. The main reason for this is that it is now being replaced by a new and improved “RailOne” super app. The main reason for this change is to bring all railway services (ticket booking, platform tickets, enquiry) on a single integrated digital platform. So that passengers do not have to use any other app separately.

Now every work will be done on one platform

Every work related to rail tickets will be done on a single platform, till now what used to happen was that if you had to make a reservation, you had to resort to IRCTC and if you wanted to book a general or platform ticket, you had to resort to apps like UTS. Now with the arrival of this new app, it will save the time of the users and the booking process will be easier than before.

How to use this app

To use the Railone app, you can create a new account or link it to your old IRCTC account. After login, Search Train option will be available on the home screen. Here fill the departure and destination stations in From and To. If you want, you can also enter the name or number of the train.
