Indian team manager for Australia tour opens up on breakage within Dressing room
The president of Saurashtra Cricket Association, Jaydev Shah, was the manager of Indian team during their tour to Australia. He mentioned that everything was fine between head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Rohit Sharma.
There were rumours about some sort of breakage between Indian captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Gautam Gambhir. A lot of reports also claimed that one of the senior players had called himself to be Mr. Fixit in the team, who would lead the team if Rohit Sharma would get sacked.
Jaydev Shah, the President of Saurashtra Cricket Association, who was the manager of Indian team for the Australia tour turned down these rumours and stated that everything was fine between coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Rohit. He stated that these rumours come out a lot when the team has not performed good.
“Everything is fine between the coach and the captain, such things happen more when the team is not doing well,” Jaydev Shah told today.
Jaydev also praised Ravindra Jadeja for his decision to play domestic cricket, end gave the example of Sachin Tendulkar, who played Ranji Trophy till the end. He even added that domestic cricket is the best for those players who look to get back in form.
“Whether it is a big or small player, domestic cricket is very important. Sachin Tendulkar played Ranji Trophy till the end. Playing domestic cricket is very important for temperament. I feel proud of Ravindra Jadeja. He has been performing consistently for 14 years. The current players should take inspiration from Ravindra. Ravindra has played for his district team Jamnagar even after coming to the international team. When a player has to get back in form, domestic cricket is the best option,” he said.
On January 23, India and Saurashtra’s all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took five wickets against Delhi in Group D match. As he came with the score of 5/66, Jadeja secured his q6th five-wicket haul of his first-class career
