Harshal Ghuge Roll Ball World Cup 2025 India Winner: in the field of sports Indian men’s team has won the 7th Roll Ball World Cup title, bringing glory to India. Dubai Harshal Somnath Ghuge, son of Shevgaon in Ahilyanagar district and assistant in Mumbai Income Tax Department, won the world title for India on the strength of his all-round game. In the final match, India narrowly defeated Kenya by 11-10 on the strength of Harshal’s three crucial goals.

India dominated from the beginning

The Indian team remained invincible from the beginning in this tournament. In the league round, India defeated Saudi Arabia 16-1 and Brazil 11-2. Harshal left his mark in both these matches. He scored 4 goals against Saudi Arabia and 3 goals against Brazil. Due to this performance, India entered the knockout round in Dimakha.

‘Harshal’ festival even in the knockout round

India defeated traditional rivals Pakistan 17-5 in a tight match in the knockout round. Harshal scored 2 goals in this match and played a vital role in the victory. After that, India beat Egypt 6-2 in the semi-final and entered the final.

Exciting final match

The final match saw a thorn clash between India and Kenya. Harshal Ghuge showed his experience and scored 3 important goals in this match which was played till the last moment. Hershal’s performance enabled India to win 11-10 and seal India’s name at the World Cup.

A dream come true!

Expressing his feelings, Harshal Ghuge said, “It was my dream to win the World Cup for the country, which has come true today. I dedicate this victory to my family, coaches and the Income Tax Department who supported me. I am grateful to the Maharashtra Roll Ball Association and the Roll Ball Federation of India for the opportunity.”

Shevgaon to Dubai: An Inspirational Journey

Harshal, who has been playing roll ball since 2008, has represented Maharashtra more than 10 times in senior national tournaments. In July 2024, he was appointed as an Assistant under ‘Sports Quota’ in the Income Tax Department, Mumbai, in recognition of his sportsmanship. The success of Harshal, who came from a small village and raised the flag at the global level, has raised the name of the entire state including Ahilyanagar district in the world.
