‘Indian Zimbu…’ Abhishek Sharma flopped in the semi-finals also, what are people saying?

Team India’s opening batsman Abhishek Sharma has failed again. In the semi-final match of T20 World Cup 2026 against England, Abhishek could score only 9 runs in 7 balls. Will Jacques sent him to the pavilion on the last ball of the second over. Abhishek had hit two fours in this over. He tried to finish the over with a six but the contact was not good and he gave an easy catch at deep midwicket.

Abhishek was out on duck in three consecutive matches in this T20 World Cup. After this, he could score only 15 runs in the first Super-8 match against South Africa. Abhishek showed signs of returning to form by playing an inning of 55 runs against Zimbabwe but he flopped again in the very next match. Now after getting out cheaply in the semi-finals, he is being trolled heavily on social media.

Abhishek is being trolled

An X user called Abhishek a proper slugger. He wrote in his post that this player has no game awareness. Just have to bat blindly. He is a hero against small teams but zero against big teams.

Another user called Abhishek ‘Indian Zimbu’. In fact, former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has been associated with Zimbabwe to make fun of him. This time Abhishek is being trolled for scoring runs against Zimbabwe and failing in front of other teams.

Advice received to play domestic cricket

A user named Space Recorder advised Abhishek to play domestic cricket. The user wrote, ‘Now go back to domestic cricket and first learn to play in international cricket.’

India scored a huge score

However, Abhishek’s flop did not affect Team India and it scored a huge score of 253 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. Sanju Samson played an inning of 89 runs in 42 balls, which included 8 fours and 7 sixes. Ishan Kishan scored 39 runs in 18 balls, while Shivam Dubey scored 43 runs in 25 balls. In the end, Hardik Pandya scored 27 runs in 12 balls while Tilak Verma scored 21 runs in 7 balls.
