India's AI power visible in IMC 2024, many companies presented innovative products

IMC 2024: India is rapidly strengthening its hold in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and clear evidence of this was seen at the recently held India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024. More than 750 AI-based applications, services and products were showcased in the four-day long event. This shows India's emerging strength in the technology sector not only in India but also at the global level.

India's growing dominance in AI

It is clearly visible in IMC 2024 that Indian young professionals and companies are rapidly adopting AI technology. IMC CEO Ramakrishna P said India's strong economy, population of 140 crore, a large number of which are youth, and expansion of technology-based education have prepared India to become a global leader in AI. The impact of AI is now being deeply felt in everyday life, especially due to its rapid adoption by communications companies.

Use of AI in communication services

Indian telecom companies are improving their services with the help of AI. Airtel introduced AI based solution to stop spam calls and messages, which will provide relief to customers from unwanted calls.
Vodafone Idea demonstrated sending real-time diagnostic reports over high-speed networks. With this technology, patients living in remote areas will be able to connect with doctors through video calls and will get accurate health services.

Contribution of AI in health and other fields

The use of AI based technologies is not limited to the communication sector only, but its role is also important in health services. A startup offered more than 30 medical check-up services like vital and blood screening for less than Rs 250. Another startup introduced AI-enabled marketing bots, which will help in solving mental health related issues. Some startups have developed AI-based solutions for de-addiction programs to help people suffering from addictions.

Expansion of AI in semiconductor sector

Fabless semiconductor industry leader MediaTek announced the launch of AI-based affordable chipsets in India. The company says that India is an important market for it, and it is focusing on creating AI-enabled hardware and software for smartphones, laptops and other devices here.

IMC 2024 has made it clear that India is not only becoming self-reliant in the field of Artificial Intelligence, but is also rapidly on its way to becoming a global leader. The increasing acceptance of AI and proliferation of its applications will not only bring positive changes in people's lives but will also strengthen the credibility of the Indian tech industry at the international level.
