India’s big stand after the attack on UAE, PM Modi said- We stand with you in every situation

Amidst the rapidly deteriorating situation in West Asia, India has strongly condemned the missile and drone attacks on the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Expressed solidarity with the Emirates in this difficult time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke to UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan over phone and said that India stands firmly in support of regional peace and stability.

PM Modi condemned the attacks

During the conversation, Prime Minister Modi condemned the attacks on UAE and expressed condolences to the people who lost their lives in this incident. He said that India stands firmly with the UAE in this challenging time and supports efforts to reduce tensions in the region. The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude to the government of UAE for the safety and care of the Indian community living there.

In fact, on Saturday, Iran launched missile and drone attacks targeting several West Asian countries including the UAE in response to the joint military attacks by America and Israel. The background behind these attacks is said to be the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and many senior military officers, which has further increased the tension in the region.

How many Indian citizens live in UAE?

About 40 lakh Indian citizens live in UAE, who, along with making a significant contribution to the economy there, send billions of dollars of remittances to India every year. UAE is also a major source of energy and important trading partner for India, the annual trade between the two countries is more than $100 billion. An Indian is also among the 58 foreign nationals injured in the recent attacks, while some nationals from Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan have been confirmed dead.

Meanwhile, India’s Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar spoke to Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi and discussed the current situation. Oman had earlier played an important role in diplomatic dialogue between Iran and America. Therefore, this conversation is being considered important in terms of efforts for regional stability.

India’s balanced and cautious approach

India has adopted a balanced and cautious approach to the entire incident. The Ministry of External Affairs has appealed to all concerned countries to exercise restraint, not to escalate tensions further and to find solutions through dialogue and diplomacy. Also, emphasis has been laid on respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries.

More than 10 million Indians live and work in West Asia, whose security is a top priority for India. In view of the situation, Indian embassies in many countries of the region have advised their citizens to remain alert, stay away from crowded places and avoid unnecessary travel.
