India’s BrahMos to attack Türkiye, defense deal with Cyprus shakes Erdogan’s illegal fort

After seeing the infallible firepower of the Indian Army during ‘Operation Sindoor’, both the fear and demand for India’s supersonic cruise missile ‘BrahMos’ are rising in the defense market around the world. Many big and powerful countries of the world have either finalized deals worth billions of dollars with India or are standing in the queue for the purchase of this indigenous missile. After South-East Asian countries like Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam, now a new and very surprising name has been added to this list, the European country Cyprus. Cyprus, located in the Mediterranean Sea, has expressed its official desire to purchase from India not only the BrahMos missile system but also India’s deadly indigenous Kamikaze (suicide) drones. The news of this ‘Defence Mahadeal’ going to be held between India and Cyprus has created a huge stir in the security corridors of Turkey, India’s arch rival country, thousands of miles away and the military strategists there have lost their sleep. ‘Defense Roadmap’ prepared in the meeting between PM Modi and President Nicos This historic defense agreement is not taking shape suddenly, but the reason behind it is the recent successful visit of Cyprus President Nicos Christodoulides to India. A strong Defense Cooperation Roadmap between the two countries was officially approved during the very high-level bilateral meeting held between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the President of Cyprus in New Delhi. Under this strategic agreement, the armies of both the countries will share joint military training, Search and Rescue (SAR) operations and advanced defense technology. According to a reputed media report, during this meeting itself, Cyprus has proposed to India to immediately purchase from India the world’s fastest cruise missile BrahMos as well as the dangerous suicide drones ‘Nagastra-1’ and ‘SkyStriker’ made in India. Why is this the biggest strategic setback for Turkish President Erdogan? If this mega defense deal gets finalized, it will be the first time in the history of global geopolitics that there will be an official deployment of an Indian missile system in a highly sensitive and strategic area like the Mediterranean Sea. This is being considered the biggest and harshest international blow yet for Türkiye’s expansionist President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In fact, Türkiye has been under illegal military occupation of a large part of Northern Cyprus for the last several decades and has been continuously adopting a policy of intimidating Cyprus. In such a situation, the news of the deployment of an accurate missile like BrahMos by the Cyprus Army on its borders is enough to raise the heartbeats of the Turkish rulers. Military experts believe that Turkey’s biggest fear is that as soon as BrahMos arrives in the Mediterranean Sea, the regional military balance there will completely change and Turkey’s navy and coastal bases will come directly under the radar of Indian missiles. India’s befitting reply to Turkey, which maintains ‘Islamic brotherhood’ with Pakistan, is noteworthy that this is the same Turkey which has been continuously adopting anti-India stance on international forums and has been blindly supporting Pakistan on the issue of Kashmir. Not only this, in the year 2025, when the military conflict between India and Pakistan was at its peak (during Operation Sindoor), this Turkey, under the guise of ‘Islamic brotherhood’, secretly supplied a consignment of hundreds of deadly combat drones to Pakistan against India. However, the Indian Air Force and Army had foiled Pakistan’s dastardly plans by shooting down all those Turkish drones in the air. Now India has given a strong diplomatic and military reply to Erdogan in his own language by delivering the consignment of its most dangerous weapons directly to the doorstep of Türkiye (Cyprus).
