India’s surgical strike in UN defeats Pakistan on Imran Khan and army’s rule

News India Live, Digital Desk: We often see that whenever Pakistan gets a chance on the international stage, it starts singing the praises of Kashmir. But this time the tables were turned in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). India did something which even Pakistan probably did not expect. India directly touched Pakistan’s sore spot. This time the issue was not across the border, but inside Pakistan. India stood on the world’s biggest stage and asked what is the condition of democracy in Pakistan? Imran Khan and the game of the army. India boldly raised the issue of how a former Prime Minister of Pakistan (the reference was clearly towards Imran Khan) is behind bars. Generally, India does not speak on the internal politics of Pakistan, but when the waters go above the head, it becomes necessary to speak the truth. It was not just about any leader going to jail. India also drew the world’s attention towards the new constitutional changes which are taking place silently in Pakistan. There are reports that to strengthen its hold, the army is making such changes in the Constitution that the elected government will become a puppet. India made it clear that the world should see how the “power of vote” is being suppressed under the “power of the boot” (army). This step of India was very well thought out and the right time to show the mirror. When Pakistan goes around the world preaching human rights, it was necessary to remind it to first look within itself. Our diplomat there clearly said that a country which runs a terrorism factory and puts its own former Prime Ministers in jail, has no right to preach to the world. This was a befitting reply to those who point fingers at India to hide their shortcomings. The reality of what is called “Jamhuriyat” or democracy in Pakistan is no longer hidden from anyone. India highlighted this in the UN. When the army decides who will rule and what will be written in the Constitution, then what is the value of the common man’s vote? This time the debate was not just a diplomatic answer, but a reality check. India has told that we will not remain silent. If you spread lies about us, we will tell the world the truth you want to hide. So, next time you hear the news that Pakistan said something in the UN, remember that India now has the mirror which stops Pakistan from speaking.
