How to complain about refund or re-schedule in case of flight cancellation, know the complete process

Amidst all this, it is important for passengers to know how to lodge a complaint if their flight is canceled or rescheduled to get a refund of their ticket or to reschedule their journey without extra charges.

Showing strictness on this situation, the Civil Aviation Ministry has directed Indigo to settle the pending refunds of the passengers as soon as possible. The airline has also activated options like ‘Automatic Refund System’ and ‘Plan B’ for the convenience of passengers.

Complete complaint process for refund/re-schedule

If IndiGo has canceled your flight, you have the option to get a full refund or reschedule your journey without any extra charges. You can do this easily through the official website or app of IndiGo.

Go to ‘Manage Booking’ / ‘Check Flight Status’ section on the airline’s website or mobile app. You can apply for refund and re-schedule by giving your flight information here. If you had paid for the ticket in cash, you can get the refund immediately by going to the airport counter and showing the ticket.

If you are facing difficulty in contacting IndiGo or getting a refund, you can lodge a complaint on the portal of the Ministry of Civil Aviation. Visit the Civil Aviation Ministry’s ‘AirSewa’ app or portal (www.airsewa.gov.in) and lodge any complaint regarding your flight cancellation, non-refund, or baggage related complaint directly with the ministry.
