IndiGo will connect Chennai and Penang with direct flights from December 21
CHENNAI Chennai: IndiGo will launch direct flight services between Chennai and Penang from December 21, its third destination in Malaysia, the largest air carrier said on Wednesday. IndiGo already operates direct flights between Chennai and Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi in the Southeast Asian country. This new direct service between Chennai and Penang meets the growing demand for travel between the two cities, providing a convenient and affordable option to both business and leisure travellers, IndiGo said in a statement. .
Vinay Malhotra, Head-Global Sales, IndiGo, said, “We are extremely pleased to expand our network even further into Malaysia with the launch of daily, non-stop flights from Chennai to Penang. “Will operate 28 weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Penang.”
IndiGo said that with direct flights between India and Kuala Lumpur, IndiGo is not only increasing tourism but also strengthening trade relations between the two countries.
