Indonesia Industry Ministry gave information
The Indonesian Industry Ministry said in this regard that Google's smartphones will not be sold unless the requirement of 40% local content in smartphones sold in Indonesia is met. The Industry Ministry also said that the country aims to increase domestic manufacturing and reduce dependence on important technologies. After the ban, it will now be impossible to officially sell Pixel phones in Indonesia.

Industry Ministry spokesperson highlighted this
“The reason we are enhancing the regulations is to ensure fairness for all investors in Indonesia,” said Industry Ministry spokesman Fabri Hendry Antoine Arif. “Google has not followed our plan.” He also said that users can buy Google Pixel from abroad, but they will have to pay tax to bring it into the country. Along with this, officials have warned that its distribution even illegally in Indonesia will be completely banned.
Orders to stop the sale of iPhone 16
Shortly before this, in recent days, Indonesia had also issued an order to immediately stop the sale of iPhone 16. This decision is part of Apple's drastic action. The Indonesian government alleged that Apple had asked to invest in their country, but the company has not done so.

Apple had made some investments in Indonesia, but not as much as the company had previously said. Now TKDN certification has not been issued by the government, due to which iPhone 16 will not be sold in Indonesia. The Indonesian government is waiting for the investment to be sold. According to the report, Apple has invested Rs 1.48 trillion in Indonesia, whereas the total investment by Apple was Rs 1.71 trillion. In such a situation, the company could not live up to the expectations of the government and the government took action.
