Indore A heart-wrenching incident has plunged the entire city into mourning. The death toll due to a massive fire in a residential area located near Bengali intersection has increased to 7, while 3 people are battling for life and death in critical condition. This accident has put the local administration on high alert and relief work continued throughout the night.

The magnitude of the incident can be gauged from the fact that the fire engulfed the entire house within a few minutes. According to the officials who reached the spot, the fire has now been brought under control, but the search operation of the building is still going on to eliminate the possibility of anyone being trapped.

What did DM say on the accident?

District DM Shivam Verma confirmed the incident and said, “Efforts to control the situation are continuing on a war footing. The fire has been completely brought under control. So far, six people have lost their lives in this unfortunate accident. We have completely evacuated two floors of the house, the team is now checking the third floor to ensure that no one else is trapped there.”

What did the eyewitnesses say?

According to eyewitnesses, the fire spread so fast that the people present in the house did not even get a chance to come out. Smoke and strong flames engulfed the entire house within no time. Local people tried to extinguish the fire, but by then the situation had gone out of control. As soon as the information was received, police and fire brigade teams reached the spot, but the narrow streets and strong flames made the rescue work extremely difficult.

How did the house catch fire?

Investigation has revealed that the fire occurred due to a short circuit during electronic car charging outside the house. It is being told that about 15 gas cylinders were kept inside the house, out of which at least four exploded. These explosions made the fire even more frightening, due to which the damage increased manifold. According to sources, a family function was going on in the house of the family where this accident took place. For this reason many relatives were also present in the house.

What things should be kept in mind while charging?

1. Charge the car in a dry, ventilated and covered area.

2. Do not charge at all during rain or in humid places.

3. Do not use third-party charger while charging.

4. Use only BIS certified charger and cable for charging.

5. Do not charge the battery to 100% every day.
