INDW vs SLW 3rd T20I Playing 11: Harmanpreet Kaur-led India women will square off against Chamari Athapaththu-led Sri Lanka in the 2nd T20I match on December 26 at Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram.
The hosts secured a 2-0 lead in the ongoing five-match T20I series in the Sri Lanka Women’s tour of India 2025 and will be aiming to secure the series with a win in Friday’s clash. Meanwhile, visitors will be aiming for a win to keep the series alive.
Sri Lanka and India women have played on 28 T20Is, where India has a dominating win percentage with 22 wins, while Sri Lanka has only 5 wins, and one game ended with no result.
India won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the toss, Harmanpreet Kaur said, “We’re going to bowl first. With the conditions and the dew likely to come in, we felt this was the best option. Also, with the series on the line, we wanted to back our strength and keep things simple.”
“The message has been clear from the start – even at the hotel before we came to the ground. This is an important match, a great opportunity to seal the series, so we need to play with confidence, stick to our plans and enjoy our cricket.”
“We want to be more aggressive in the power play, so Renuka is back, and Deepti is also back. Sneh and Arundhati are resting,” concluded Harmanpreet Kaur.

Meanwhile, Chamari Athapaththu said, “We would have bowled as well if we had won the toss. I told the girls to play their natural game; there are some youngsters in the team, and it is a good opportunity for them to show their colours. The World Cup is coming up, and it is a good chance to play some good cricket. We have three changes.”
