INDW vs WIW: Indian team's strong female players are fit, can play the first ODI against West Indies

Sports Desk: A series of three ODI matches will be played between the Indian women's team and the West Indies women's team from December 22. Indian team captain Harmanpreet, who was injured during the T20 match, is now fit. Indian women's cricket team head coach Amol Majumdar said that they can play the first match of the ODI series. Just have to see them once before entering the field.

Harmanpreet could not play the last two matches of the three-match T20 series against West Indies due to knee pain. Smriti Mandhana took over the responsibility of captaincy in his place. India won this series 2–1. Majumdar, while talking to reporters before the first ODI, said that Harmanpreet spent full time in practice today. We will take a decision on her soon and I have full hope that she will be fit for the first match.

The coach admitted that young wicketkeeper batsman Yastika Bhatia will miss the three-match ODI series but said that the team management will select the best XI from the 15 members. He said that yes we will miss some players. Bhatia is injured and is currently undergoing treatment at NCA. Hope she gets fit soon.

Majumdar said about the pitch that I have just seen the pitch and it looks good. We are coming here after playing at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai where the pitch was prepared from red soil. The pitch here has been prepared from black soil and we are excited to play on it.
