Infiltration attempt failed in Jammu, security forces killed Pakistani terrorist in Uri sector

Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police together achieved a major success on Sunday (15 March 2026) in Uri sector of Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said a Pakistani terrorist who was trying to infiltrate into Bukhar area was killed. This action started on the intervening night of 14-15 March. Based on the intelligence of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the army took immediate action. A Pakistani terrorist was killed in an encounter following contact in the area.

According to the information, security forces encountered terrorists in Bukhara area. After this firing started from both sides. A Pakistani terrorist was killed during the encounter. Security agencies say that this terrorist was trying to infiltrate from across the border. Currently, a search operation is going on in the area to ensure that there are no more terrorists hiding nearby. According to officials, with this action a major attempt of infiltration from across the border has been foiled.

Security forces foiled an infiltration attempt near the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. During this, a suspected terrorist was killed, while the search for one of his associates is going on. According to the army, this incident happened on Tuesday 10 March. The Indian Army had received intelligence that some people may try to infiltrate from across the border. After this the army started surveillance and search operation in the area. Jammu-based defense spokesperson said that two suspected terrorists were seen near Jhangar at around 3 pm. This area is close to LoC in Nowshera sector.

The security forces tried to stop them, after which an encounter started. During this period a suspected terrorist was killed. A search operation is being conducted in the area to find the second terrorist. Army officials say security forces are carrying out a search operation in the entire area to ensure that no more infiltrators are hiding.
