Infiltration case in Jharkhand: Four including two Bangladeshis sent to jail
Ranchi: In the Jharkhand assembly elections, the issue of Bangladeshi infiltration in the state was raised loudly by the BJP, although JMM and Congress termed it as just a trick of the BJP. In the same Bangladeshi infiltration case, after 5 days of interrogation, four accused including two Bangladeshis were sent to jail. On Friday, ED produced four accused in the special PMLA court after 5 days of remand. ED did not demand extension of remand during the hearing.

Bangladeshi citizens caught by ED are Rani Mandal, Sameer Chaudhary, Indian citizens Pintu Haldhar and Pinky Basu Mukherjee. All of them were arrested by ED from West Bengal on November 13. Before the arrest, ED had raided 17 locations in Jharkhand and West Bengal regarding the case. In the raid, ED had recovered fake Aadhaar, fake passport, illegal weapons and many documents related to immovable property, cash and jewellery. All are accused of human trafficking. ED took over the FIR lodged at Bariatu police station and took action.
