Infiltration in India Statistics: The government has presented shocking figures in the Parliament regarding security on India’s borders. In the last 11 years, security forces have arrested thousands of people coming from across the border. The government said that a total of 23,926 infiltrators have been arrested from 2014 to November 2025. But the most surprising thing has come to light regarding the China border, where the record is completely different. Let us know from which border the maximum infiltration attempts were made.

The Minister of State for Home clarified in the Lok Sabha that most of the arrests in cases of infiltration have taken place on the border of India and Bangladesh. Apart from this, people have also been caught from the borders of Pakistan, Myanmar, Nepal and Bhutan. According to the data, 20,806 people were arrested between 2014 and 2024, while 3,120 more infiltrators were arrested between January and November 2025. The special thing is that not a single case of infiltration has been registered on the Chinese border during this period.

Maximum movement on Bangladesh border

Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai gave this information while giving a written reply to the questions of Trinamool Congress MP Jagdish Chandra Burma Basunia and Sharmila Sarkar. He said that out of the total arrests, the largest part i.e. 18,851 infiltrators were caught only from the India-Bangladesh border. After this comes the Myanmar border from where 1,165 people were arrested. Whereas 556 people have been detained from Pakistan border and 234 people from Nepal-Bhutan borders. These figures show that there are more challenges on the eastern border.

This year’s figures and the truth of China

Even in the year 2025, the trend of infiltration has remained the same. Of the 3,120 infiltrators caught between January and November, 2,556 were from the Bangladesh border alone. 437 people were caught on the Myanmar border, 49 on the Pakistan border and 78 on the Nepal-Bhutan border. The government stressed in Parliament that since 2014 and especially this year too, no case of infiltration attempt has been reported on the India-China border and the number of arrests there has been zero. Security forces are constantly keeping a close watch on the borders.
