Infinix teases its first foldable phone, key specifications leaked

Delhi. Delhi. Infinix has started teasing that it is ready to launch its own foldable smartphone. The company's upcoming foldable device will use a flip mechanism called Zero Flip and compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Motorola Razr 50. While the teaser gives a glimpse of the Infinix Zero Flip, the company has not revealed the launch date of the phone. And while its specifications are also not official, a new report has suggested that the Zero Flip will be thicker than the Galaxy Z Flip 6.

According to tipster Paras Guglani, the Infinix Zero Flip will be 16.04mm thick when folded – which is 4mm thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Similarly, it will be 7.64mm thick when unfolded, while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be 6.9mm thick when unfolded. While it might be the thinnest flip phone in the market, it will have a bigger battery due to the thickness. The tipster added that the Zero Flip might come with a 4720mAh battery. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 4000mAh battery.

The tipster also shared other key specifications of the Infinix Zero Flip, revealing that it will feature a 6.9-inch full-HD+ AMOLED LTPO main display with a 120Hz refresh rate, while the cover display will feature a 3.6-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1056×1066 pixels. The Infinix Zero Flip may be powered by the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It may run on Android 14-based XOS 14.5. The cameras on the Infinix Zero Flip may include a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. While both these cameras will be located on the cover screen, the main display may house a 50MP camera inside the punch-hole.

According to the tipster, the Infinix Zero Flip may come in Rock Black and Blossom Glow colourways. Previous reports have also said that the Infinix flip phone will feature stereo speakers with DTS and Hi-Res audio support. It will also have TUV certification, but the hardware for which the certification has been received is unclear.
