First attack of inflation

Third hit of inflation:

After the milk price hike, petrol and diesel have also been hit by inflation. On Friday, oil companies increased the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 3 per litre, with the new rates effective across the country from Friday, May 15. After this latest hike, petrol in Delhi has gone up by Rs 3 to Rs 97.77 per litre. It is selling at Rs 108.74 (an increase of Rs 3.29) in Kolkata, Rs 106.68 (an increase of Rs 3.14) in Mumbai and Rs 103.67 (an increase of Rs 2.83) in Chennai. Diesel price is now Rs 90.67 per liter in Delhi, Rs 95.13 in Kolkata, Rs 93.14 in Mumbai and Rs 95.25 in Chennai.

The fourth attack of inflation

Not only has the price of petrol and diesel increased across the country, but CNG consumers have also been hit hard. After Mumbai, CNG prices have become expensive in Delhi as well, with an increase of Rs 2 per kg from May 15. Due to this hike, CNG price in Delhi has reached Rs 79.09 per kg. In Mumbai too, CNG price has increased by Rs 2 a day earlier, from Rs 82 to Rs 84.
