Influencer Yuvraj Dua’s plea for his ‘Modi-Paglu Papa’ to cut down on sugar gets a reply from PM Modi
PM Modi supports content creators and influencers while promoting Digital India. On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a reel by content creator Yuvraj Dua, in which he seeks Modiji’s help to persuade his father to cut back on sugar.
A Delhi-based influencer named Yuvraj Dua, who has over 1 million followers, made a reel earlier this week called ‘Modi-Paglu Papa’ and captioned it ‘Sugar kam karwa do Papa ki’ (Please help lower my father’s sugar levels). In the clip, he explains how his father is a big fan of the PM. The video quickly went viral for its wit and relatable storytelling. Even the Prime Minister, the most-followed world leader on Instagram, couldn’t resist. He reposted the reel on his account, urging Dua’s father to “reduce sugar intake” and “be healthy, be happy.”
Dua explained that his father is somewhat obsessed with the Prime Minister and that only his request can influence him. “If my father is watching TV, and if a dragon flies from above, his focus will not break because Modi Paglu,” the influencer said.
Seeking PM Modi’s help, he asked him to mention in his next ‘Mann ki Baat’ that reducing sugar intake is important for better health. “Our words are not making him stop eating jalebis,” Dua said in the reel, adding that the Prime Minister’s words are like “instructions” to his father.

The Prime Minister paid heed to his request. “On Yuvraj’s request, I urge his father (and everyone else out there) to reduce sugar intake… be healthy, be happy,” he posted on his Instagram story. In a second story, PM Modi said that too much sugar intake leads to multiple diseases, not to forget obesity. He also urged people to do yoga.

Yuvraj Dua also reacted to the Prime Minister’s message, expressing how amazed he was at a simple video gaining such attention.
“Surreal sa ho gaya yeh toh. Kahan pahunch gayi video, would never have thought. (This has become surreal. The peak the video reached, I would never have thought),” Yuvraj Dua reacted to his reel going viral and getting PM Modi’s attention.
Then, in a message to his father, Yuvraj Dua wrote, “Now even Modi ji has said. Please accept it, papa.”
