In a big boost to entry-level salaries, software giant Infosys has decided to offer packages of up to Rs 21 lakh per annum for specialized technology roles. According to the news published in the media, the company is moving forward rapidly on AI-First strategy. The company is now openly gambling on attracting digital-native talent. This has not only boosted the morale of the freshers but has also created a stir in the entire IT sector.

According to the report, Infosys has increased the salary packages for freshers in certain roles as the company wants to strengthen its AI-first capabilities. Now Infosys is preparing to offer annual packages ranging from Rs 7 lakh to Rs 21 lakh for specialized technology roles. This salary is the highest entry-level salary in IT companies in India.

Opportunity for which students?

The report states that Infosys will launch an off-campus hiring drive for engineering and computer science graduates of 2025 to find talent for specific technology roles. The roles for which recruitment is taking place include Specialist Programmer (L1 to L3) and Digital Specialist Engineer (Trainee). These positions are open to BE, BTech, ME, MTech, MCA and Integrated MSc graduates from Computer Science, IT and some circuit branches like ECE and EEE.

The roles for which Infosys is hiring freshers are especially advanced technology And are related to digital skills. Among these, the package of Specialist Programmer L3 (Trainee) will be Rs 21 lakh. The salary of Specialist Programmer L2 (Trainee) will be Rs 16 lakh per year. Specialist Programmer L1 (Trainee) will get Rs 11 lakh annually. Similarly, Digital Specialist Engineer (Trainee) will get ₹7 lakh annually.
