State-of-the-art center ready just 36 km away from Ranchi
As a result of the sensitive thinking of CM Hemant Soren, this center built in Muta, about 36 kilometers away from Ranchi, is now going to be active again. It was approved by the Central Government in 2009 and in 2013, the main cage, small hospital and care unit were ready by spending Rs 41 lakh, but it was closed due to bureaucratic hurdles. Now Hemant government has taken a concrete decision to start it by removing all the obstacles.
Vultures will come from other states, strong breeding system will be made
SR Natesh, Chief Conservator (Wildlife), Forest Department, said that some vultures from other vulture centers in the country will soon be brought to Jharkhand for breeding. The remaining repair work at the center will also start soon and additional funds for this are being sought from the government. On the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, all this work is being completed rapidly.

This experiment was so successful that the number of vultures has started increasing in the state. According to the latest survey, there are now 400 to 450 vultures left in Jharkhand, which is a much better situation than before.
